After what seemed an infinite span of weeks, all of the pots had sprouts. Much to my chagrin, my novice herb growing skills didn't prevent most of my cilantro and some of parsley seedlings to die from root decay. Being too loving to plants does not pay off.

Oh my goodness Erica, I just had a bad thought. You know how difficult you imagine a 4-H kid feels when they take the cow they raised to sell for slaughter, aren't you going to feel bad to take your first cuttings from the plants you've been babying? Well, I guess if it doesn't actually kill them, it would be more like just taking the milk from a cow. How silly a thought was that!!!
ReplyDeleteHahaha! I took a bit of arugula to try. Let the Steele boys try too. Spicy, peppery. But good. :) I didn't feel like we were killing the sweet, sweet cows. :)
